Is 4XC a good broker? Our verdict

4XC is a practical choice for active forex and metals CFD traders who want MT4 or MT5 and a choice between spread-only and commission-priced accounts; it suits investors seeking share ownership less well because the listed markets are leveraged products rather than shares. Its breadth includes forex, metals, index and oil CFDs, five named crypto instruments and forward contracts. The main attraction is the three account tiers, from a $50 Standard minimum to raw-spread Pro and VIP accounts. The trade-offs are that the spread figures are minimums rather than typical costs, VIP requires $10,000, and Islamic conditions on Standard last only 30 days. The entity named for the site is 4xCube Ltd in the Cook Islands, so its jurisdiction and applicable protections deserve particular attention before funding. Account choice also shapes cost: Standard has no commission on most instruments, while Pro and VIP attach round-lot commissions to FX and metals.

What stands out

  • Standard starts at $50, giving smaller-account traders a lower entry threshold than the $100 Pro and $10,000 VIP accounts.
  • Both MT4 and MT5 are offered, and MT4 supports Expert Advisors for traders automating strategies.
  • Social trading lets account holders copy signals while retaining control of their own trading account.

What to consider

  • Standard account swap-free conditions end after 30 days, after which the account converts to Standard terms with swaps.
  • 4XC excludes US residents, so the broker is not an option for traders in that jurisdiction.
  • VIP requires a $10,000 minimum, putting its lower FX and metals commission beyond the stated entry level for most smaller accounts.

Who owns 4XC and where is it based?

Review score3.0/ 5

4XC is the trading name of 4xCube Ltd, which identifies its base as Parekura Place, Avarua, Rarotonga, in the Cook Islands. The company describes itself as an STP broker. In practical terms, that is its stated pricing and execution model, not independent evidence of how orders are filled or of the prices a client will receive.

The broker's product focus is leveraged trading across forex, metals, index CFDs and oil, cryptocurrencies, and forward contracts. Its account menu pairs commission-free Standard pricing with Pro and VIP accounts that advertise floating spreads from 0.0 pips and commissions on FX and metals. This makes account selection part of the pricing decision rather than a simple choice of service tier.

4xCube Ltd says it is audited by McMillan Woods and reports six years active in the markets. The company also describes its client-money accounts as segregated and says external and internal auditors monitor them; the scope of those protections depends on the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the client.

Is 4XC safe, legit and regulated?

Review score2.2/ 5

4xCube Ltd identifies the Cook Islands Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) as its regulator and describes its authorisation as a Money-Changing and Remittance License. That is an offshore regulatory setting, rather than authorisation by a major retail-investor regulator such as the UK FCA or Australia’s ASIC. 4xCube Ltd says it accepts clients from many jurisdictions but excludes residents of the USA, Iraq, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Portugal and Ukraine; another legal notice also names the Cook Islands among excluded jurisdictions, so eligibility there is inconsistent.

4xCube Ltd gives MC03/2018 as the licence reference in its disclaimer, identifies 12767/2018 as the license number in its company information, and identifies 12767/2018 elsewhere as the company registration number. The contracting company is named as 4xCube Ltd, but this discrepancy makes the precise licence reference uncertain. The company says it submits financial reports to the FSC and is audited by McMillan Woods.

4xCube Ltd says client funds are kept in segregated accounts and not used for operational or investment purposes. Its risk notice says retail clients can lose their deposited funds but have no subsequent payment obligation beyond those funds; it also says professional clients may lose more than their deposits. Regulation does not remove market or counterparty risk, and the Cook Islands protections should not be equated with investor-compensation arrangements in more tightly regulated jurisdictions.

4XC fees, spreads and commissions

Review score3.2/ 5

4XC's pricing depends on account and instrument. Standard advertises floating spreads from 1.0 pips with no commission on most instruments; Pro advertises spreads from 0.0 pips and a $5 commission per round lot on FX and metals; VIP advertises spreads from 0.0 pips and $4 per round lot on FX and metals. The broker labels these commissions per round lot, rather than describing them as per-side charges. VIP also advertises no deposit or withdrawal fees, subject to the payment terms.

What do the advertised spreads leave out?

The “from” figures are minimum spreads, not typical or average spreads. A live instrument table shows bid-ask examples, but those are time-specific price snapshots, not typical-cost statistics. 4XC says commissions for other instruments can be found on the trading platform.

On Standard, cryptocurrency trades are excluded from the no-commission offer. 4XC says crypto commission is charged per round lot in USD at trade opening. Its examples are $100 for BTCUSD, $4 for ETHUSD, $2 for RPLUSD, $1 for BCHUSD and $0.60 for LTCUSD. These instrument-specific charges are separate from the spread; the Standard account’s no-commission description therefore does not apply to those crypto trades.

Which non-trading costs affect funding?

The funding terms describe internal transfers between accounts in different currencies as subject to a 1% conversion fee; transfers in the same currency are free. Deposits are advertised as free, though the terms say withdrawals made within 48 hours of a deposit, or before any trade after depositing, can be debited by the full amount of deposit charges incurred by 4XC. VIP account holders are described as exempt from deposit and withdrawal charges.

For an intraday trader, the spread and any applicable commission are the immediate trading costs. A leveraged position held overnight may also incur swaps; Standard's swap-free period is limited to its first 30 days, after which it returns to Standard terms with swaps.

4XC account types and minimum deposit

Review score3.6/ 5

The lowest minimum is $50 for the Standard account. Pro requires $100, and VIP requires $10,000.

How do the three account prices differ?

Standard has floating spreads from 1.0 pips and no commission on most instruments; cryptocurrencies are excluded and incur trade commission. Pro and VIP have floating spreads from 0.0 pips, with advertised commissions of $5 and $4 per round lot respectively on FX and metals. Because the spreads are minimums and not typical figures, those starting prices alone do not show which account will cost less in live trading. VIP's lower quoted FX and metals commission comes with a much higher deposit threshold.

The account overview lists USD, EUR, GBP and BRL as base currencies, with BRL available only for MT5 accounts. 4XC lists leverage up to 1:500 on forex, metals and commodities, and 1:20 on cryptocurrencies. The exact leverage applied to a position depends on instrument terms.

Are swap-free and demo accounts available?

The Standard account has swap-free conditions for 30 days from account opening. After that period, the account converts to Standard conditions with swaps. Pro and VIP are presented without the same swap-free statement, so the documented Islamic feature is specific to Standard.

4XC advertises a demo account, but no minimum deposit is attached to the demo. Forward contracts in USD and BRL are grouped as a separate account type and are available on MT5. The three main accounts all list all strategies as allowed, and the account comparison gives a maximum of 200 open positions and pending orders per trading account.

Leverage, margin and order execution

Review score3.1/ 5

4XC advertises maximum leverage of 1:500 on forex, metals and commodities, 1:200 on index CFDs and oil, and fixed 1:20 on cryptocurrencies. Shared account terms also give fixed leverage of 1:100 for Mini Dollar forward contracts and 1:200 for Mini Index forward contracts. These are broker terms for the described products, not a universal leverage schedule across other jurisdictions.

What margin and order limits apply?

The Standard account lists a 100% margin call and a 50% stop-out level. Its account specification says the maximum is 200 combined open positions and pending orders. Minimum trade sizes are 0.01 lots for forex, metals and cryptocurrencies, and 0.1 lots for index CFDs and oil.

How does 4XC describe execution?

4XC calls itself an STP broker and advertises no dealing desk, fast execution and servers in LD4 data centres. These are the broker's descriptions, not independent execution measurements. Its MT5 product description highlights advanced order management and order types.

The leverage ceiling is high relative to the margin needed for a position, so modest price changes can have a larger effect on account equity. Retail clients have the no-additional-payment protection described for 4xCube Ltd, while the broker's risk notice says professional clients can lose more than their deposits.

What can you trade with 4XC?

Review score3.2/ 5

4XC offers leveraged products across forex, metals, index CFDs and oil, cryptocurrencies and forward contracts.

Which markets are represented?

The forex list includes major pairs such as EUR/USD and GBP/USD alongside examples of less commonly traded pairs including EUR/TRY and USD/ZAR. The list is broad in pair variety, though the displayed instruments include materially different spreads across pairs. The metals table names gold and silver. Index examples include US30, US100, US500 and DE40, while WTI is listed under oil.

The cryptocurrency category includes five instruments: BTCUSD, ETHUSD, LTCUSD, BCHUSD and RPLUSD. 4XC explicitly describes its cryptocurrency products as CFDs, and its broader market names include index CFDs and oil. These are trading exposures, not direct ownership of the underlying assets.

What are the forward contracts?

4XC lists forward contracts as a separate product category and identifies USD and BRL forward contracts as an account type available on MT5. Shared terms name Mini Dollar and Mini Index contracts, with their leverage schedules stated separately in the trading conditions. The available instrument examples do not make this a substitute for a conventional share or ETF portfolio, and the listed markets are primarily leveraged trading products.

4XC trading platforms and app

Review score3.7/ 5

4XC offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Both are presented as available trading platforms, and the broker provides installation guides for each. The platform descriptions emphasise different uses: MT4’s established ecosystem and Expert Advisors, and MT5’s broader instrument range and advanced order management.

Which platform supports automated trading?

MT4 supports Expert Advisors, which lets traders run automated strategies within the platform. 4XC refers to MT5’s advanced order types and technical analysis, but the platform information does not describe an equivalent automation capability.

4XC also provides social trading. Account holders can browse signal providers using filters such as returns, risk profile and performance metrics, configure copying settings, and monitor copied trades through the trading account. The broker says users retain control of their account. This is a signal-copying feature, not a self-directed platform tool, and past provider metrics are not a forecast of results.

A separate PAMM service lets investors allocate funds to a manager who trades for them. 4XC describes profit and loss allocation in proportion to contributions and illustrates a 20% performance fee in an example; that percentage is illustrative, not a universal PAMM charge. PAMM investing is materially different from operating an individual MT4 or MT5 account, because a manager places the trades. The broker also promotes Acuity Signal Centre and an Acuity economic calendar as trading tools.

Opening an account, deposits and withdrawal times

Review score2.6/ 5

4XC offers an online registration process, demo access and account verification as steps for using its social-trading service. The broker's client terms require deposits from personal accounts; third-party payments are not processed. Payment-method availability depends on the client's country of residence.

What happens when you deposit?

The funding terms advertise free deposits and list payment channels in several currencies, as well as BTC, ETH and USDT. Deposit processing times vary by method: the schedule includes instant processing and longer ranges, including 1–3 business days and up to 10 business days for one listed option. Minimum deposits are $50 for Standard, $100 for Pro and $10,000 for VIP.

How long do withdrawals take?

The withdrawal schedule gives different advertised processing periods, ranging from one business day to 7–10 business days, with some entries showing 1–3 business days. A general term says that if a deposit or withdrawal is not processed immediately, it will be completed within 24 business hours, while the method schedule shows longer windows. These are broker processing estimates, not bank or wallet settlement times; payment providers can cause delays.

Withdrawals must go to the client's personal accounts. Clients are limited to one withdrawal per day, and where multiple payment methods or wallets were used, withdrawals are distributed proportionally across those sources. A password change disables withdrawals for 24 hours. 4XC says deposit charges can be deducted when a withdrawal is made within 48 hours of depositing or before trading after a deposit. VIP holders are advertised as exempt from deposit and withdrawal charges.

Research, education and customer support

Review score3.1/ 5

4XC provides an Acuity Signal Centre and an Acuity economic calendar, and lists learning materials plus Alpha FX Academy and T4F Academy. The named resources establish access to trading tools and education, but do not describe a course syllabus or a level of instruction. Social trading also offers performance and risk-profile filters for comparing signal providers.

How can you contact 4XC?

4XC lists phone and email support, with the contact address [email protected]. Its published service hours are Monday to Friday, 00:00–24:00 GMT+2, Saturday, 00:00–07:00 GMT+2, and closed Sunday. The broker advertises 24/5 support elsewhere; the contact schedule adds a short Saturday window, so the hours are not exactly the same as a simple five-day schedule.

The available education names include two academies, but the specific lesson formats, languages and depth are not described. For a trader choosing between learning materials and market analysis, the concrete tools identified are Acuity’s signal service and calendar; the service schedule is the clearest practical detail about reaching the broker.

4XC alternatives worth comparing

Compare 4XC with a broker authorised by a major retail-investor regulator if the Cook Islands licensing framework is a deciding factor; the relevant comparison is the regulator, contracting entity and client protections, not the brand name alone.

For frequent FX traders, compare 4XC's Pro and VIP round-lot commission labels and minimum spreads with competitors that publish typical spreads and fully defined round-trip commission. That makes it possible to compare the likely total cost rather than the 0.0-pip starting figure. Traders looking for long-term share ownership should instead compare with a securities broker offering actual shares and ETFs, since 4XC's listed range centres on leveraged trading products.

Checks to make before you open an account

Choose between Standard's lower entry requirement and its wider quoted spread, or the Pro and VIP commission accounts; advertised starting spreads do not settle which will be cheaper in live trading. Standard's Islamic conditions are temporary, so a swap-free requirement extending beyond the first month needs particular attention.

The $10,000 VIP threshold is the condition attached to its lower FX and metals commission and its advertised withdrawal-fee exemption. Payment routes also carry different processing windows and withdrawal charges, while the terms limit withdrawals to one per day and require distribution across funding sources. The Cook Islands entity and the licence-number discrepancy are relevant to the protections attached to an account.

4XC FAQ

01

Is 4XC regulated?

4xCube Ltd identifies the Cook Islands Financial Supervisory Commission as its regulator and describes its authorisation as a Money-Changing and Remittance License. The licence references differ between MC03/2018 and 12767/2018, so the published licence number is inconsistent.

02

Is 4XC safe?

4xCube Ltd says client funds are segregated and says retail clients are not liable beyond their deposits. It also says it is audited by McMillan Woods. These protections are attached to the Cook Islands entity; the terms identify no compensation scheme, and regulation does not remove trading or counterparty risk.

03

What is the minimum deposit at 4XC?

The Standard account has a $50 minimum, Pro requires $100, and VIP requires $10,000. The Standard account has floating spreads from 1.0 pips and no commission on most instruments; Pro and VIP advertise floating spreads from 0.0 pips and commissions on FX and metals.

04

How long do 4XC withdrawals take?

4XC's schedule gives advertised processing times ranging from one business day to 7–10 business days, with some payment entries showing 1–3 business days. A separate general term says non-instant withdrawals will be processed within 24 business hours, while noting that payment providers can delay the process.

05

Does 4XC offer MT4 or MT5?

Yes. 4XC offers both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 and provides installation guides. Its MT4 description identifies Expert Advisors, while its MT5 description highlights advanced order management and technical analysis.

06

Does 4XC accept US clients?

No. 4xCube Ltd lists US residents among the jurisdictions it does not serve, along with Iraq, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Portugal and Ukraine.

Our broker reviews are based on a consistent evaluation process that combines independent research with practical testing. Rather than relying solely on information published by brokers, we verify key details wherever possible and assess each broker using the same set of criteria.

Our research begins with the broker's regulatory status. We verify licences with recognised financial authorities, review publicly available company information, and examine legal documents such as client agreements, fee schedules, and terms of business. This helps us understand how the broker operates and the protections available to clients.

Where possible, we open live accounts and test the broker's services ourselves. This allows us to evaluate the trading experience from account opening through funding, trading, and withdrawals.

Our reviews consider the following areas:

Regulation & Safety

We verify the broker's regulatory licences, investor protection measures, client fund segregation, and any available compensation schemes. We also consider the broker's operating history and regulatory record.

Trading Costs

We compare spreads, commissions, overnight financing (swap) charges, and other trading and non-trading fees. Since pricing can vary between account types and market conditions, we assess costs across the broker's available offerings.

Account Types

We review the broker's account options, minimum deposit requirements, leverage limits, execution models, and any features designed for different types of traders.

Markets & Instruments

We examine the range of available forex pairs and CFDs, including indices, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, and other supported markets where applicable.

Trading Platforms

We test the broker's web, desktop, and mobile platforms, paying attention to usability, available order types, charting tools, technical indicators, execution quality, and any support for automated or copy trading.

Deposits & Withdrawals

We review the available funding methods, processing times, fees, and the overall process for depositing and withdrawing funds.

Customer Support

We contact customer support through the available channels to assess response times, the quality of assistance provided, and the availability of support during trading hours.

Keeping Our Reviews Current

Broker services, pricing, and regulations can change over time. For that reason, we periodically review and update our content when significant changes occur or new information becomes available.
